  13. Abimbola Ojenike of the Destiny Trust is a visionary leader deserving of this award. The Destiny Trust provides Shelter and Care, operating residential learning centres in Lagos and Oyo State, while offering a safe and stable home environment for children who lack one. This includes providing food, protection, and basic needs. The lives of several hundreds of children have been and are still being impacted positively by this Foundation under his leadership.

  15. I don’t even know where to start with Abimbola Ojenike. His work with The Destiny Trust isn’t something you just “support” — you see it, you feel it, and if you’re lucky enough, you experience it.

This is someone who has built a future for children that society forgot — children who now sleep in safe spaces, learn in digital classrooms, and speak about dreams they didn’t know they were allowed to have. I’ve seen what The Destiny Trust does up close. And I’ve seen how quietly and consistently Abimbola gives himself to this work.

He doesn’t just deserve this award — he is the reason awards like this should exist.

  16. I have met a lot of people, but what sets Abimbola apart is how practical his compassion is. He doesn’t just speak about helping children — he shows up, stays up, and pays attention to even the smallest details — the ones often overlooked but that quietly and purposefully change lives.

He’s created safe spaces — not just buildings. Learning access — not just classrooms. And perhaps most powerfully, it’s his daily choice to walk beside children who have every reason to be forgotten. And somehow, he makes sure they never are.

Abimbola doesn’t just meet the standard — he raises it.
For him, it’s intentional love in action for the most vulnerable.
And I’m so proud to witness it every day at The Destiny Trust Children Foundation.
