Heroes
Each year, we select 20 outstanding changemakers and work alongside them for 12 months, providing the funding, visibility, and strategic support they need to scale their impact. Together, we amplify their work and accelerate positive change in communities across Nigeria.
Launched in November 2023, our mission is to support innovative, sustainable social enterprises and help them scale their impact to reach 100 million Nigerians by 2050.

The 2025 Luminary Awards winner will receive a generous cash prize of 5 million Naira.
This financial support is intended to further empower them to continue making a positive impact on their community through their initiative and projects.

The top 20 Changemakers are shortlisted by our judges based on set criteria listed below, then voting begins via this website. The Luminary Award winner is decided by your votes and will be announced on May 1.
Awards' Eligibility and Judging Criteria
we look out for
Consistency and Longevity (25%): We evaluate how long the initiative has been operating and whether it has demonstrated the ability to grow or sustain its work over time.
Alignment with SDGs (25%): We confirm how well an initiative aligns with the identified UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Evidence of Impact (25%): We evaluate submissions to confirm that their impact is verifiable and supported by data, testimonials, or reports
Impact & Scale: We assess how many lives have been impacted by your initiative, and to what extent.

Their tireless work behind the scenes sparks a ripple effect of positive change, impacting lives from the grassroots level and beyond. Our mission is to fuel their efforts, equipping them with the resources and support they need to reach even more people.
Through our flagship event, The Luminary Awards, and various other programs, we focus on curating funding opportunities, providing skill development, and amplifying their projects for increased visibility.
